Go Wild With Your Camera - DVD (Region 2)

With more than two and a half hours of video content, and dealing with subjects as diverse as birds, mammals, amphibians, invertebrates and landscapes, this educational DVD makes a very comprehensive tutorial for the aspiring wildlife photographer. All of the case studies feature native British species photographed in the wild, and there are additional special features such as a Jargon Buster and a Pixel to Print section to help you through the basics of digital photography.

The equipment required is covered in detail for each subject. The `Tools of the Trade' chapter also provides a general overview of the range of equipment suited to wildlife photography.

The case studies provide a fascinating insight into the working life of a professional wildlife photographer. The viewer can experience first hand how they deal with adverse weather and elusive subjects.

Running time 165 minutes, region free, PAL widescreen.

"Go Wild With Your Camera is a well-filmed, very watchable series of programmes - ideal for wildlife photographers just starting out, but with enough variety of subjects, techniques and tips to make them worth watching by serious amateurs. The three professional photographers who demonstrate their techniques are excellent choices: top of their field (though with down-to-earth styles) and knowledgeable naturalists with decades of field experience and a genuine love of wildlife. What sets these enjoyable DVDs apart is that all the featured subjects are British and are photographed close to the photographers1 homes, emphasising the point that knowing your home patch and your subject is more important than the gear, and demonstrating the fact that forethought, composition and originality are key to a winning shot." - Rosamund Kidman Cox, former editor of BBC Wildlife Magazine.
