Het Oude Continent

A collection of essays on the large diversity of natural landscapes in Europe: untamed wilderness, natural landscapes, and old cultural landscapes. What is the current state of protection of these diverse landscapes? From European lowland rivers and accompanying hayfields to calcareous mires in the mountains: a wide selection of unique landscapes and their stories are covered in this book.

The editors Joop Schaminée and John Jansen between them share many years of experience in the areas of nature and landscape at home and abroad.
