HI-98168 Professional pH & Temperature Meter for soil

Designed for professionals, this meter joins the Hanna 98 series of quality pH meters which are rugged and portable with the performance and features of a benchtop. The measurement of pH is vital due to the influence it has on the growth of the plant. Soil can be acid, neutral or alkaline depending on its pH value. Every plant requires a particular range of pH for optimum growth.

This Instrument has many features that make it ideal for field use. It has a rugged, waterproof enclosure rated to IP67 as well as built in calibration checking systems that alerts users to problems such as dirty or broken electrodes, or a contaminated buffer. Calibration is easy on its clear dot matrix display.  The PH sensors incorporate a built-in temperature sensor capable of manual or automatic temperature compensation.The probe has a built in amplifier to reduce noise from humidity that can affect the probe connection to the meter.

The HI98168 takes four 1.5V AA batteries for a 200-hour battery life and can connect to PC via an opto-isolated micro-USB with Hanna Instruments HI-92000 software. Important and often used functions such as GLP information, help, range, calibration and backlight have a dedicated button. GLP data provides data from previous calibrations to are met.
