History of the Rise and Fall of Invertebrates [Japanese]

The second instalment of this new series covers the rise and fall of invertebrates. If you look at the history of life on Earth, it all started with invertebrates who were the mainstay of life on Earth until the emergence of vertebrates. After the emergence of fish, vertebrates took over the leading role, but invertebrates continue to have a strong presence as supporting players. This book focuses on the rise and fall of such invertebrates.
- The mysterious Ediacaran fauna
- Radiodonta, represented by Anomalocaris
- Sea scorpions that took over from the radiodontids
- The flourishing of trilobites and ammonites
- Brachiopods and bivalves that continue to live to this day
- Insects have been making steady progress since the Paleozoic era.

The authors have written down the history of invertebrates by taxonomic group. If you read this book from the beginning, you will be able to follow the rise and fall of invertebrates in order.
