Jugendstadien der Heuschrecken der Schweiz [Juvenile Stages of the Grasshoppers of Switzerland]

This new identification book presents the juvenile stages of all 109 species of grasshopper found in Switzerland.

The nymph stages are of particular faunistic interest. This field guide helps the observer to identify the juvenile stages in the habitat according to species and age. Each species is presented with several colour photos of the stages of development, with descriptions of essential characteristics supplementing the illustrations. Information on the seasonal occurrence, habitat and distribution round off the identification aid.

In each of the species portraits, the picture of an adult conspecific is shown. The comparison of the age groups makes it possible to recognize the peculiarities of the juvenile stages.
